The countdown is on – no, not for the New Year, but for when people arrive to your house. With the holidays barely over and now only a few days until 2017, you may be asking yourself how you’re going to pull off an amazing New Year’s Eve party.

Instead of the typical formal party, take the night in a different direction. You don’t need to go out in a fancy dress to have a good time – food, drinks and a festive atmosphere are something everyone can enjoy. So if you’re looking to ring in the New Year with style, here’s everything you’ll need.

Make it a Tasting

Let’s face it – every year, everyone goes to the same formal New Year’s Eve party, and while most people don’t want to go out dressed for a theme (ie: no ugly sweater competitions), you can still find a happy middle ground between the two. Instead of a typical bar, have a tasting throughout the night

Champagne Party

Nothing pairs together better than New Year’s Eve and Champagne – except maybe the delicious Fannie May Champagne Celebration Strawberries and Champagne. With each strawberry hand dipped in creamy white and pink champagne-infused real chocolate and decoratively sprinkled with gold, platinum and clear sugar, these strawberries compliment any glass of bubbly.

Wine Tasting

If Champagne isn’t for you, try hosting a wine tasting party. Kick the party off with a wine tasting kit, or ask every couple coming to contribute a bottle of their favorite red or white. Whether you decide to cover the labels and have everyone try to match their glass to the bottle, or have a traditional wine tasting, it’s sure to get everyone on their feet and mingling.

Have Stand-out Decorations

New Year’s Eve may be the only night it is okay to go a little overboard with the glitter and decorations, so don’t be afraid to go all out.

Balloons

What’s a party without balloons? Ring in the new year with this festive “Air-Rangement®,” available in two sizes. Depending on your guest list.

Margarita Glass Centerpiece

Every table needs a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers, but one in a margarita glass? That’s just a bonus! This ‘Cheers to the New Year’s’ centerpiece, complete with noisemakers and oversized margarita glass will keep everyone in the party spirit. Not to mention, you can use the food safe glass for future events, like a bridal shower or engagement party.

Hors d’oeuvres Over a Meal

New Year’s Eve parties can be long – with people coming around 8pm and not leaving until as late as 2am, one meal isn’t going to cut it. Instead of making a dinner, let guests choose from a variety of appetizers and desserts throughout the night.

Appetizers

The trick to serving appetizers is to mimic a traditional dinner menu. Skip the cheese and crackers and serve Bacon-Wrapped Scallops and Stuffed Artichoke Hearts throughout the night.

Chocolate Covered Fruit

Ring in the New Year with a fresh and tasty strawberry celebration! These plump strawberries covered in confetti sprinkles, toffee or coconut are perfect for sharing.

Cookies and Dessert

Treat yourself this New Year’s with an assortment of Cheryl’s individually wrapped cookies! Trade in a regular plate of chocolate chip cookies for favorites like Cheryl’s buttercream, devil’s food and salty caramel cookies.

However way you choose to celebrate, the best way to ring in 2017 is with the ones you love most. So here’s to another happy and healthy New Year for us all.
